Ceramic Robot Arm Components for Wafer Handling
Alumina and zirconia robot arms and end-effectors for wafer handling.

01Product Overview
Ceramic robot arms and end-effectors are used in semiconductor wafer-handling robots where stiffness, low mass and electrical insulation matter.
We supply arms machined to customer drawings from high-purity alumina or zirconia, including contact pads, holes and mounting interfaces.
Very fine surface finishes and straightness values can be achieved on local machined features through grinding and lapping, but they are process capabilities of those specific features and are not quoted as guaranteed values for the entire arm. Specifications are agreed per drawing and feature.
02Key Features
- Stiffness-to-weight
- high
- Electrical insulation
- excellent
- Al₂O₃ purity

03Available Materials
High-purity alumina (Al₂O₃)
Stiff, insulating and wear-resistant for arm bodies and end-effectors.
Zirconia (ZrO₂)
Higher-toughness option for tips and contact features subject to impact.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you supply complete robot assemblies?
No — we supply the ceramic arm or end-effector component to your drawing. Integration is performed by the robot system builder.
Can surface finish be made finer on contact points?
Yes — contact pads and tight-tolerance features can be ground or lapped to a finer finish than the general body, agreed per feature.
Which material should I pick?
Alumina for stiffness and insulation; zirconia where tips are subject to impact. We help select based on your duty.
